A villa BBQ in Bali sounds simple until someone has to stand over charcoal for three hours while their friends swim. That someone is me. I learned fire cooking the Balinese way — sate lilit pressed onto lemongrass, fish wrapped in banana leaf over coconut husk — and the restaurant way, running a grill section in Seminyak through 200-cover nights. Your BBQ gets both: proper marinades started the night before, charcoal managed properly, and a steady stream of food landing on the table from the moment guests arrive until the last skewer.

How a Villa BBQ Runs

We arrive two hours before guests to set up the fire and prep station. If your villa has no grill, tell us — we bring a charcoal grill at no drama and a small setup fee. Food comes in waves rather than one big dump: skewers and snacks first, mains as the evening settles, grilled pineapple and dessert when the music gets quieter. The chef stays on the fire the whole evening and we leave the grill, kitchen and terrace clean.

BBQ parties work from 6 to about 40 guests; bigger events move better as a buffet — see event & party catering. Vegan and halal grills are easy (everything halal is sourced as such — ask us), and mixed tables are our normal — details on the dietary menus page. Want a quieter evening instead?     Send your date, villa area and group size. We confirm availability the same day — 24–48 hours ahead is ideal.

    We send 2–3 menu proposals built around your tastes, allergies and diet. You pick, we lock the fixed price.

  3. We shop fresh

    Your chef buys everything the same morning at local markets — groceries are included or itemised by receipt, your choice.

  4. Dinner is served

    The chef cooks in your villa kitchen, plates and serves every course, then leaves the kitchen spotless.

How much does a BBQ chef cost in Bali?

Our villa has no grill — is that a problem?
No. We bring a charcoal grill for a flat IDR 350,000 rental fee, including charcoal and setup. Tell us when you book so we load the truck right.
How long does the chef stay?
The whole party — typically 4–5 hours from setup to clean-up. Food comes in waves all evening, not one batch, so latecomers eat as well as the early crowd.
Can you do a halal or plant-based BBQ?
Yes. Halal meat is sourced from trusted suppliers, and the Plant-Based Fire menu is a proper grill feast, not a vegetable afterthought.
What is the maximum group size for a BBQ?
Around 40 guests with one chef and an assistant. Bigger parties run better as catering with stations — see villa catering.
