BaliChefAtHome started with one chef, one scooter and a cooler box strapped where a passenger should sit. After twelve years in Seminyak restaurant kitchens — the last four running a section through 200-cover nights — I cooked a friend's birthday dinner at a Canggu villa and understood something obvious: the food was the same standard as the restaurant, but the evening was better. No bill anxiety, no second seating, kids asleep down the hall. I never really went back inside.

Who Cooks Your Dinner

Today we are a small team of chefs, every one of them out of professional kitchens in Seminyak and Canggu — places where plating is a discipline and "the fish is finished" is not an acceptable sentence. We stayed deliberately small: each chef owns their bookings end to end, from the 5 a.m. market run to the last dried wine glass. No agency layer, no rotating strangers. If you book us for a week, you get the same face and the same standard every day.

The market run is the part we refuse to outsource. Bali's produce is extraordinary if you shop it at dawn and know the stallholders — and a private chef who shops like a tourist cooks like one. What We Promise

Three things, every booking. We bring everything — groceries shopped that morning, equipment your villa kitchen is missing, and the discipline to leave the kitchen cleaner than we found it. The price is fixed before we shop — you approve the menu and the number on WhatsApp, and that number does not move unless you change the brief. We cook daily 07:00–22:00 across all of south Bali — from Canggu, where it all started, to Uluwatu clifftops and Ubud jungle villas. Whatever the occasion, the first step is the same: a WhatsApp message and an honest conversation about what would make your table happy.
