Villa parties are what Bali does best: a big house, a pool, your favourite people and nowhere to drive home from. The food decides how the night goes. Get it right and everyone stays at the table until the speeches; get it wrong and half the group is ordering delivery at 21:30. After years of cooking birthdays, hens weekends and milestone dinners, this is what we have learned.

Seated Dinner or BBQ?
For a birthday of up to about twelve, a seated private dinner is hard to beat: the courses land together, speeches happen naturally between them, and the table becomes the party. For a louder crowd — hens weekends, 30ths, surf trips — a BBQ night keeps people moving: the chef runs the grill, platters keep coming, and nobody is stuck in a seat. Our three grill packages are Classic Satay (IDR 700,000), Jimbaran Seafood (IDR 1,000,000) and Mixed Grill Feast (IDR 1,300,000) per person, for six guests or more; if the villa has no BBQ we bring one for IDR 500,000.

That is three proper meals per person, groceries, cooking and clean-up included, and zero restaurant bookings for ten — before any Ubud or Uluwatu travel fee. Add a floating breakfast for the bride-to-be on Saturday morning (IDR 1,300,000 per couple, styled in the pool) and she gets the photo of the weekend.
A Villa Party for Twenty: The Maths
At twenty guests a buffet usually beats a seated dinner: it is easier on the villa kitchen, people mingle, and service staff are included at this size. A buffet from IDR 600,000 per person comes to IDR 12,000,000 for twenty — groceries, cooking, staff and clean-up included. Events of twenty or more reserve with 30%, so IDR 3,600,000 secures the date and the rest is paid after the party. Want theatre instead? What the Chef Takes Off Your Plate
- The shopping — seafood from the morning fish market, vegetables from Badung, everything bought the day of the party.
- The equipment villa kitchens lack for groups: extra pans, trays and, if needed, the grill.
- The timing — food lands when the group is ready, not when the oven says so.
- The clean-up — every pan washed and the kitchen spotless before we leave, so the morning after starts with coffee, not dishes.
Timing, Noise and Villa Rules
- Start early. Our chefs cook from 07:00 to 22:00, so plan dinner for around 18:30–19:00. The sunset hour is the best part of any Bali villa party anyway.
- Check the house rules. Many villas limit guest numbers, amplified music and late-night noise, and some charge an event fee for bigger gatherings. Ask the villa manager before you invite thirty people.
- Respect the neighbours. Balinese villages hold ceremonies all year round, and a quiet word with the villa staff about local events goes a long way.
Cake, Drinks and the Table
Tell us it is a birthday and we will plan the dessert moment — candles, lights dimmed, the song. A celebration cake for four is IDR 700,000; bigger cakes for groups are quoted on request. Drinks are yours to buy — duty-free on arrival or from the bottle shops in Canggu and Seminyak — and the chef will chill them and set up a drinks table. We set the table for every seated dinner; for full flower-and-candle styling, ask and we will quote it upfront.
Mixed Diets, One Table
Every group has a vegan, a coeliac and someone who swears they are allergic to coriander. Collect the list when you send the invitations and forward it to us: we design one menu with proper variations, label the dishes, and make sure nobody ends up with a sad side salad. More on our dietary menus.

Send us your date, villa area, headcount and the vibe — "long elegant dinner" or "pool party with a grill" — on WhatsApp. You get menu options and a fixed price the same day. Standard bookings need no deposit and you pay after the party; events of twenty or more guests reserve with 30%.
